bass combo's for around $450

    i'm looking for a good bass combo for around $450 so far i've seen:

    The Peavey TKO115s + 115,
    The Trace Elliot 712 + commando 15
    And Laney RBG400 + RBW300

    I want the combo for jamming and possibly gigs, i've read that the RBW300 is good enough for gig's, this is the only amp i'm going to be able to get for a VERY long time so i want to make sure it's a good one

    P.S i play rock and punk (mostly slap) so i want one thats nice and punchy if possible

    can't stand to see a guy not get a reply...

    is that $450 UK? I'll assume so. What's that, like $765 US, or is it $265 US, I can't remember the approx. conversion.

    I don't know what's readily available in the UK; geez, I'm not much help, huh! Can you get Ampeg? Nemesis (by Eden?), Gallien-Krueger?

    Tell us more about the brands you think you would have access to. Sorry, but I guess most on this site are Yanks!

    I'm gonna look at Ebay-UK for you and get back to you...

    Okay, did some checking on the Trace site. Since you mention you're a slapper, I think you'll be much happier with a rig that has a tweeter. So for Trace, I'd go for the combo they make with the 2-10's and the tweeter, if the price is right..

    If it were me, I'd just keep an eye on Ebay UK. There's not much there right now, but something is sure to come up.
