in the next future i'll buy an alesis midiverb4. thay have great price on the used market.

  4. The BOSS delay is one of the best I've heard surprisingly, the reverse feature is very cool and it works great on bass, I used an old tape delay before I liked it (very ratty, but in a good way) but those are very costly and unreliable.

  5. My dad has a Boss Digital Delay. He won't let me touch it because its "designed for guitar only"
lol phhftt i reckon he just doesn't want me to use it.

    :D:p

I use a Danelectro Dan-Echo. It works great on bass, even though it was designed for guitar. It has a knob that takes out high end on each repeat to emulate a tape delay. It's pretty hard to hear that on bass, but on guitar it makes a large difference.

So to answer your question any delay pedal will work.
