I want to purchase another bass in the price range of $ 600. I prefer to get a used one to get my money worth.
What do you guys recommend ?

I can't believe you guys are making recommendations without even knowing what sort of music this person plays.

zevo, why don't you tell us a little about yourself and we'd be happy to make some recommendations.

  5. It's a versatile bass for a generic question. If he were focused on a particular style he most likely would already have the bass to fit or would know what would apply.

I second the Lakland 55-01. The skylines are one of the best bass values for the money out there. :bassist:

Ya know, I've seen a number of posts saying that a 55-01 can be had for under $600, but have yet to find a place that sells them at that price. The lowest one that I've found was for $650 new at Bass Central, and a local shop has one that has some POT damage for just around $600 (the one that I posted about previously).

Just where are you guys finding these new 55-01's for $600 or less?

    maybe a used MM SR4 600-700 range.
The Geddy Lee Jazz is a good bass for the price.

Xyllion have you played one of these? There quality is increadible, the sound is FANTASTIC, the finish is BEAUTIFUL.

I would concider these basses the "If fender did it right" bass(I know, VERY opinionated, but I am not too keen on MOST Fen-duds!)

  11. G&L L2000. Tribute or used USA maodel. Period. :D

  12. Or a G&L L2500 if you prefer a 5 string.

I used to own one in a beautiful cherry burst finish. I think they sound absolutely amazing, but 35" scale is not my bag nor have I ever been excited by a B string. This is why I'm amazed at the recommendation since nobody knows anything about this guy. Now a 44-01 would excite me more, but hey that is me.

  14. You didn't even make it to the 2nd sentence of the original post :rollno:

Aerodyne will go above 600$ since you have to change the pickups :)
