hi, christopher: thanks for the links. the nomad looks useable. time to hit ebay.... wonder how it sounds.... -cheng
Actually, the Ashbory is freless and not very easy to play(just in case you were considering this). I would think any short scale would be good, maybe a Squier Bronco.
initially i tried searching using "children bass" as the keywords but couldn't get anything useful. after christopher's recommendation, i tried "nomad bass" and got referred to a bunch of short scale basses. i would prefer a bass shorter than 30" scale. the nomad or even the samick corsair mcr looks really cool. i just can't find an online retailer who sells the samick corsair mcr. any idea? (i am avoiding the rubber band bass)
I would personally go for the Essex short scale P-Bass. I'm toying with the idea of getting one for my 6 year old, he's not even interested in bass, but it sounds like a good excuse to sneak one in past the mommy. For $99, you probably won't find a better short scale. I doubt you'll find much that's shorter than 30" scale length.
