Bass for sale. Italian?

    I'm helping a friend sell his bass which has a label reading:
    "Antoniazzi Romeo Cremonese
    fece a Cremona 1906"
    I'm not buying it. It really does'nt look Italian to me me. Looks like a German bass with the linings removed. He bought this bass in Italy years ago, and has since given up the sport. Gage did do some work in the past, but it still might be a project. Regardless, it could be a decent bass for someone. Long string length: 43+/-. He would like $4K or B.O..
    The bass is in NYC.. Pics available. Any suggestions on how to post pictures would be appreciated. 1 pic= file too large?
