I've watched several "Top [some number] basslines" videos and I like the idea of combining several songs together, so I came up with this "game" of linking riffs or grooves together, like so: *the first note of the current riff is the last note of the previous riff, and the last note of the current riff will be the first note of the next riff*. The riff can be part of the bassline of a song or an original composition. They can be posted as tabs or just the name and the writer of the song (in which case the last note should be mentioned). I will start with 2 examples. First off, the riff of Another One Bites The Dust by Queen (which starts and ends on an A): G|-------------------------------------| D|-------------------------------------| A|-------------------------------------| E|-5-3-0---0---0----0-0--0--3--0-5-| Next I chose the riff of Are You Gonna Be My Girl? by Jet (which ends on a G): G|-------------------------------------| D|-------------------------------------| A|------------------------3------------| E|-5-5-5---5-5---0-3-5---------------| G|-------------------------------------| D|-------------------------------------| A|-------------------------------------| E|-5-5-5---5-5---0-3-0-3------------| Which means the next riff should start on G.
Meet Virginia By Train Last note; Gb **edit: does it have to be on the same string or can it just be the same note?
It just needs to be the same note, it doesn't matter which octave. Also, 5+ strings tabs and non-standard tunings are also allowed.
