I have a small set of pedals for bass… and i’ve tried several orders…. recommendations to organize the pedals in the board??

    Tuner
    Aguilar Tone Hammer
    Aguilar TLC compressor
    EHX bass big muff (distortion)
    EHX Bass microsynth
Boss Flanger for bass and guitar..

    Can anybody help me? thanks!!

  2. One suggestion, compressor first, then distortion units, the modulators.

Question: How often do you use the Hammer and Muff?

I ask, because, these sort of pedals introduce their own form of compression as it drives and fuzzes the signal, obviating the compressor's purpose in life.

Check the stickies at the top of the page in the Effects forum. There are a bunch of threads about the order of effects.

Tuner first, Tone Hammer last. The rest I'd want to experiment with.

Having played precisely none of those pedals, I'd say:

    Tuner
    EHX bass big muff
    EHX Bass microsynth
    Boss Flanger
    TLC compressor
    Tone Hammer

but I'd do what Scott said.

That phrase appearing here on TB is one of the signs of the apocalypse/ragnarok. Run!

You will get a lot of suggestions that will all contradict each other...that is because there is so much personal preference involved, and there are so many variables involved. You should spend a lot of time experimenting with the order yourself, but I'd start with this:

    EHX Bass Micro Synth
EHX Bass Big Muff (I did NOT like this pedal and think you could do better, especially considering the other top quality gear you're running, but if you love it, then please just ignore me)
    Boss Flanger
    Aguilar TLC compressor
    Tuner
    Aguilar Tone Hammer
