I'd like to say thanks to everyone here at talkbass. I have played bass for 10 years, but until I came to this forum I had no idea that there were so many great custom shops. I have seen some of the most beautiful bass in the last few weeks that I am almost ready to mortgage my house :p Anyways, I was hoping that ya'll would post some links or at least names of your favorite luthiers or custom shops websites'. THANKS!!!!!!

Same way I felt the first couple or weeks I joined.......never seen so many basses and so many knowledgable people. Not to mention all the great gear I have aquired through the Classified boards. :)

Fodera Guitars and I second Carey's work as well. Also check out Rob Elrick - a superb luthier as well. Ken Lawrence is fantastic, but I don't believe he has a site.

Also, because there aren't a ton of pictures of Foderas on their website, check these sites out:

    http://www.ven-jp.com/fod.html

You have to scroll down a bit to find them on this site:
    http://niconico-guitars.com/soldgallery/bass_soldgallery.html

And this is in Japanese but it's easy enough to find them:
    http://homepage2.nifty.com/fodera-club/

    Enjoy ;)
