What hardcopy magazines do you recommend. I haven't read a bass mag in years and am wondering what's out there and their focus. Thinking about a holiday present from one of my kids. Thanks.

I like Bassplayer, Bass Guitar, Bass Gear, Vintage Guitar, Downbeat, Jazziz, Blues Music magazine, Relix, Hittin' The Note, Modern Drummer, DrumHead, Living Blues, Rolling Stone........I'm probably the wrong guy to ask, I spend a lot every year on magazine subscriptions.;)

Ok. You're the perfect one to ask. Which one would you pick to give to someone as a subscription present for a long time bass player interested in technique and interviews.

I much preferred Bass Guitar UK to Bass Player magazine but @jerry definitely reads more than I do.

Well there really only two these days and the UK's Bass Guitar Magazine US subscription price is quite high, Bassplayer mag takes a lot of heat around here but I'm still happy it's in my mailbox once a month.
