Bass Necks with a Twist

Has anyone tried/seen/read about any make(s) of basses that are incorporating the neck design where the neck has a slight twist to accommodate wrist position???

For grins, I tried a "California Twister" guitar by Lace. It has almost 11 degrees of twist down by the nut. But the neck towards the body is flat.

They use some kind of "dual compound fingerboard" (obviously a single piece wood fretboard would have problems).

Anywho, it was pretty comfy!. As Lace says, "The guitarist that gigs all the time is going to have less wear and tear on his wrist, shoulders, and arms, while the beginner is going to find it much easier to develop proper techniques and speed"

I don't know if all of that is true. But I thought chords down low on the neck seemed easier.
