Got a bassist asking about bringing a bass with him on a Greyhound bus. Anybody done this? Advice? Warnings? I'm assuming it has to be put in the luggage compartment.
  2. I've done it several times, but always on Greyhound charter buses. While not ideal, luckily my bass has survived multiple trips. During the winter months, that luggage compartment got really cold. At every load and unload, I checked to make sure some idiot didn't throw a bag on top and that my bass wasn't wedged tightly between things. But I've never done it on a public Greyhound (which I swore never to take again for other reasons).
