Bass On The Broadband

Hey Talkbass, the worlds first radio station for bass players is here! bassonthebroadband.com was born today! We are a 24/7 full blown radio station specializing in the music of electric and acoustic bass players from all styles and genres.

The whole point of the radio station for me was to create a radio broadcast home for bass players throughout the world!

I have been personally blessed to have had a recording contract for most all my career, and that also has led to a lot of commercial radio airplay. With all of the changes in the music industry and commercial radio it is harder and harder for us bass players to get our music played on the radio.

I made it a personal mission of mine to make sure that all of us bass players had a radio outlet for our music, and for the world to hear. How cool is it to be able to turn you all on to bassists from all over the world that you or I for that matter would never be able to hear or get to know?

This station is for all of us. We will of course play the music of the masters of upright and electric bass as well as provide a broadcast outlet for you guys who do your own recordings. We will do our best to get your music heard.

The site is going to get bigger and bigger with articles, education, and on and on. I will be hosting on air five days a week coming up in the next few weeks as well as we will be having some amazing guest host bass playing icon DJ's sharing their stories and experience with you, broadcasting only on bassonthebroadband.com.
