Earlier today, someone whom I had just met said "I heard people who play bass do so because they are not intelligent enough to handle 6 strings." I pulled out my Mensa Membership Card and ended the conversation without saying a word.

It pissed me off but made me laugh at the same time.

So tell me does the Mensa Card make a good pick?. MC does not.

  5. Good response!

If you had a 6 string bass you could have produced that too.

    I have a 138 IQ and a 6 string bass. Go figure.

Its not the number of strings but the range of the instrument.

I can throw a guitar way further than a base.

My career in electronic engineering begs to differ.

I wonder how a Mensa card would work as neck shim material? ;) That's what I do with all those "join AARP" cards I've been getting for the last few years.

Sometimes I cry because I'm just a bass player.
Then I cheer up myself thinking it could be worse, I could be a Mensa member.

I'd be really surprised if it didn't yet exist.

Of course, Mensa members don't "talk" .. they just sign on and "be."

It would be really nice if there was some way to find that out by, I don't know, maybe typing the word Mensa into some sort of thing-a-ma-bob that would look it up. ;)

I came up with 2 brilliant, smart butt answers that could earn me cool points but couldn't decide which was the best.
I shall post both before you and let you pick one :

1- "Stop insulting my intelligence or else I pull my Mensa card on you."

2-"Thanks bro I figured so much but didn't care enough to give it a try."

    Clever, am I not?
