Bass players do it longer

    We started learning a new song the other day where the guitars basically play in unison with the bass line the whole song, a kind of power chord thing. It was fun to see them struggle to keep it together for 5 minutes...

    I got a backhanded compliment from one band mate who said somehing along the lines of 'how can you play the same thing for so long?"

    They have no stamina those guitars guys! :D

    Just proves again there is more to bass playing than most people would notice at first glance. I think we probably have more in common with drummers than with gutarists. Uhh, well, music wise, that is. ;)

    jk jk. My guitarist has trouble playing some blink 182 songs with complete down strokes, and i stand there and laugh at his pittyful dexterity...bwahahahahaha


    Im off to play sim city now *hangs head and runs*

    Uhh, I think this thread is getting dangerously close to being shut down. :)

    I think we can all agree though that it's all about rythm and feeling, from start to finish, and that bass players do that the best. :p
