Bass Poll: over-$2,000 category

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Jsonnenblick, May 22, 2001.

  1. OK, no clickable-results matrix thingie here. I didn't want to leave anybody's preferred bass out. Just write down what super-high-end bass catches your fancy above all others. . .

For me, the Brubaker NBS 5-string I just bought is way, way up there.

Alembic Series II medium scale, the electronics more importantly the CVQ(continuously variable Q) which allows you to dial in all types of sounds, are phenominal.

Hey, just realise that the Bob Glaub is under 2000.00$ I guess I'll have to go with the Joe Osborn instead.

The picture I posted is of an Fodera Anthony Jackson Signature Presentation model. There are no electronics in the bass at all. The pickup is wired straight to the output jack. 28 frets. 36" scale. Coolest bass I have ever seen. I would like mine with a nice macassar ebony top...

I'm hopin' my R/A double don't come in TOO much over $2 K

  20. > $2000?

    You didn't say what currency!

In that case, my Ric 4003 @ $2800 ... every other tasty thing that I own is used, so it don't really count.

I reckon most of the basses pictured above would be too scary to play - you'd always be worried about messing them up! :)
