Bass Problem

    I have a problem with my bass, It's a Tobias (MusicYo version) and the sound will intermittently go out for about 10 seconds and then come back in. Anyone ever have that problem with any bass?? Suggestions? The bass is active. I changed the battery thinking that was the problem but it's still happening. I tried different cables too. Same thing! Do I need a new preamp? Jack? Please help!

    Sound like a jack problem. Open her up, are any wires coming loose from the jack?

    Oh, I love it. Nice action and feel. If I have a dislike it would be the preamp/pickup deal. Not a wide range of sounds to be had with the stock setup. At some point I'm going to upgrade the electronics. I bought it in 2000 and am just now having that problem I mentioned. I play (or used to at the time)very frequently. I thought it was my amp and I ended up trashing the old amp and bought a new one. Same problem. I should have just kept the amp! Sigh! Oh well, such is life.
