    Hi All,

My guitarist is heading to Vegas for a week at the end of April. He's going to buy a new guitar for himself while over there. Can you guys recommend who's best for price in Vegas?

Also, can anyone advise if there's any shop in Vegas that sells Tune basses? Samash does them, but won't deliver to Ireland.

    Thanks all,

The Sam Ash store had some Tune basses when I was in Las Vegas in January. Next door is a place called Cowtown Guitars that has a good selection of vintage instruments. I bought a nice 1986 G&L L-2000 from them.

Ed Roman is definately worth the check out, even if you dont buy anything there. Its the biggest guitar store in the world I believe, so yeah, it should be worth looking through

They have a great selection, but you aren't allowed to touch the instruments without a salesman and when I was there I waited 15 minutes and never found someone to help me.

yeah, but you have to think on all the dumb a**es that come in there and just screw around, so I suppose the do not touch rule is understandable

Ed Roman was the founder of Eastcoast Music Mall here in Danbury. It started as a front for drug money laundering. Frankly, I wouldn't set foot in Ed Roman's place, even if it is the biggest place in the world.

In Vegas...I would start and end with Adrian Garcia.
Dealt with him in the latter part of last year for the first time. A wonderful experience. He's courteous, professional and willing to go that extra bit to ensure a smooth transaction and happy customer. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. Definately check him out, he's a man of integrity.
Only concern is that he's Mr. Bass. But even if he was Mr. Violin, I'd still go to him. At the least, he'd probably be able to hook you up w. the proper guitar dealer. -Saving you a whole lot of time & headaches.
Adrian Garcia. He'd be my choice.

Ed Roman has always treated me very well. Just call ahead
of time, tell him when you will be in town and what time you can stop in, and he will be very happy to meet you, and show
you around. If he is not going to be there he will make sure he has one of his people take care of you. As far as Cowtown,
they are nice folks and they also ship international. :)

try Access Bass. I've never dealt with them, but I hear they're the only bass-specific shop in Vegas.

I agree that you should just hook up with Adrian Garcia at Accessbass. www.accessbass.com I am not affiliated with Accessbass other than being a VERY happy customer. I bought two basses from Adrian, one special custom order and another in-stock bass. I could not have been happier.

Adrian gets first shot at ALL of my business. He took care of me in a manner and degree of professionalism that is almost a lost art. Thank God for people like Roger Sadowsky, Keith Roscoe, JP at www.Blueberryhillbass.com, Gard at Bass Central, Glen at Austin Bass Traders, John at Bass Emporium and others who understand that first class reputable, courteous, consultative service is the best way to do business. I mention these people because I have called and dealt with most of them. I was always treated very well.

From what I heave heard and read, I would steer clear of Ed Roman's like the plague.

But most definitely, call Adrian at www.accessbass.com And go HEAR Adrian play somewhere if you get a chance. That cat is one Bad A** Monster of a player!

    awwww.. i'm blushing, fellas...
seriously, thank you for the kind words on this thread.
If you are looking for guitar, Ed Roman has thousands... i myself bought an NS Design URB from Ed and it was fine, got a price, paid for it, no problem... he has quite a few basses. I cannot guarantee what your experience will be there, but mine was painless.
Mine is a small, bass only business and i will be glad to personally meet you and show you what i have. The shop is a bass and drum shop, so bring your drummer, my partner, Idalberto Perdomo, is a ridiculously good drummer and the baddest Latin percussionist in the land. You can get my # from the site, have fun in Vegas and put some $ aside to get you home in case you go a little crazy in the casinos. ;)
Also, feel free to call me if you want to come out to a gig. Or i can steer you in the right direction if you are looking for good music- if you will be here on a monday night, prepare to hear a super bad band - Santa Fe, they are amazing, and boast what i believe to be the baddest bass player in town, Roschon Westmoreland- who plays in the Clint Holmes show- you will not be disappointed. I just caught them last night again and they are on fire- 8 horns, 2 keys, percussion , 3 singers... smokin!
Thanks again for the kind comments on this thread, fellas...

    Hey Guys,

I miss vegas :crying: , If it were me I would go to cowtown , you can always get great deals there on good guitars. Also AJ's music in henderson would be worth checking out. They always have decent guitars and are willing to make deals.

Have fun in LV, and remember no matter what they say , there is no sex in the champange room
