If there are any bass shops worth worth visiting lemme know.
Just a short (less than an hour) drive east on the thruway will bring you to Rochester, NY... home of the great GREAT House Of Guitars. One of the most...uh...unique music stores you will ever find. http://houseofguitars.com/

Sad to report that Buffalo is not Mecca for bass
That place looks cool.
I have been there before well worth the trip tons of gear but very pricey
This right here. Buffalo kind of sucks for bass. Just the couple guitar centers and cheaper mom and pop stores.
Armand and Bruce own the place. They're brothers. Catch Bruce when he's toasted, that's when I got my best deals.
House of Guitars is definitely worth the trip!
It is, however, Mecca for some other things.
I was lucky enough to be cast in a Christmas commercial of theirs back in 1983..... for once I was in the right place at the right time.
I'll take horrible football teams for $200, Alex.....
Football? What's that?
I was thinking more in the vein of Roycroft or Darwin Martin Complex, actually.
If you're passing through Syracuse, check out Ish Guitars. Website: Bass
The owner is a bass player so he gets great stuff.
That Gretsch White Falcon on page 3...drool
