For those of you who have basses with switches, was wondering which ones you've found most useful. Did a few searches but didn't produce anything so thought I'd ask. Add verbage if you have time, maybe even switches you've found useless.

I had a switch on the tone cap to allow the tone control to be turned on/off. Really I did it to A/B the tone control (i.e. does the 250K make a big difference versus nothing at all), but it does allow a darker tone to be dialed in and then switch to bright.

  7. I voted for series/paralell, but I happen to love Gibson-like 3, 4 or more way Varitone switches. Add an in/out phase switch, and you have more tonal varieties that you can use. ;)

The switch that's going in my bass soon, a stew-mac super switch that handles all possible series/parallel combinations for my 3 pickups.
