I wonder if there would be enough interest on this forum for another section for those of us who teach - to share ideas and discuss all the things we like, dislike, things that work or don't, just like the sections on basses, technique, etc. ? I've looked around on the web and have seen some blogs, like the one Music Teachers Helper sponsors, but it would be nice to have one that's bass specific without creating a whole blog, and everyone here already kind of knows each other. So, whaddya think?

That would be great. The best way to learn is to teach. It would be great to share ideas about different situations we come across and how to handle them.

It would be nice to go a thread in TB where you know the response won't be," Get a Teacher!"
    :)

    let's do it..

this could be a perfect place to find new ways to motivate some of the younger students who think playing should happen over night..

Why don't all of us interested send our moderators a little note. Maybe they'll create one. Also, if this thread gets moved around to some different sections, it should create more interest.

Thanks Ike for sending the first PM. This is the first I've seen of this thread, and it seems like a good idea. What did you have in mind, a specific forum where each teacher got to start their own thread(s) and converse about the topic? Let's brainstorm a bit before I ask Paul about this.
