Bass through a Dual Rectifier

    Is it safe to use my Dual Rectifier Solo Head for bass? I have a bass cab, but no bass amp.

    It shouldn't be any problem for the head if that's what you are worried about. However, it's hard to say what the tone will be like with a bass. Could be great for more overdriven tones.....

    The general concern with playing bass through guitar amps is because the low frequencies can damage guitar speakers. Because you have a bass cabinet, this isn't a concern.

    Yup. It should become unpleasantly distorted before any damage occurs. Just be sensible and don't expect too much as guitar amp output transformers are usually undersized to produce an accurate bass response.
    Would probably make an excellent top on a biamped rig,
