I'm looking to upgrade my Fender MIM Jazz Bass. I'm thinking about getting the Ultra Jazz DiMarzio pickups and im trying to decided what bridge to get. It would either be a Hipshot "A" model or a Badass 2, but I really dont know which is better.

Any suggestions, or anything to help out would be appreciated.

I prefer the Hipshot "A" of the 2 you mentioned. It has string spacing adjustment, and is a quick release bridge.

Yea, I have heard good things about it, and also on the Badass 2 you have to file it down yourself.

The filing is really easy and quick. It's alot easier than it it looks. As long as you're careful, it will end up fine.

Yes but is the Hipshot better?

I don't think you will HEAR a difference. But as far as changing strings, the Hipshot is easier and prevents you from ripping into your finish when sliding the strings in/out. It looks cooler IMO, but that is up to the beholder, of course.
