    what do you think?

i have no effect pedals, and i probably won't be getting one for a long time, but what would be a more usefull basic effect; a wah pedal or a distortion?

  2. Well you cant really compare the two, they are so different. It all depends ont eh sound you want and what kind of music you are goin to be playing.

how about this? which is better quality pedal that will last me longer? a BOSS Bass Overdrive
or a MORLEY bass wah pedal?

  4. i own a boss bass overdrive and played a morley bass wah. they both will probably live forever if you treat them nice but the boss bass overdrive is just a better unit. The morley wah sounds terrible. The boss bass overdrive is also not overdrive but more of distortion or even fuzz... definetly not the best distortion pedal on the market... i just cant dial in a very good tone. I am actually looking to replace it with with a EBS MULTIDRIVE or FULLTONE BASSDRIVER very soon. My advice: save up for something better.

I say go with the wah, but go with the dunlop 105Q crybaby. It is excellent for bass. I had a Boss ODB3 bass overdrive and I recently sold it as the sound was too sterile and crunchy for me (no warmth). just my view.

  7. stay far away from that unit. Get a decent envelope filter instead. It will sound MUCH MuCH better. I also agree that the Dunlop Bass Wah will probably be THE pedal for you... atleast in your price range
