I have my p bass with hipshot x-tender on the wall hook--, but it rests its weight on the trigger. Is this a problem, or just what it does? Would I be better off putting it in a stand with the weight on the body?

Any input would be great! Thanks.

They're built pretty tough in my experience... I think it'll likely be fine but ultimately you'll have to tell us how it works out.

Personally, for peace of mind, I would wrap some cloth on the arm of the offending side, such that the cloth extends up and touches the wood instead of the lever, at least helping to take some weight.
