Basses 8 pounds or lighter?

I'm curious about which basses people have (or know about) that come in at 8 pounds or less in overall weight. Whether bought complete at a store or know of luthiers that build them. I'm looking for normal scale length, not short scale ones.

Also, are there any basses that look like solid body ones but are actually chambered? How does that affect the tone (if at all)?

I have a Roscoe Century IV that's just over 8 lbs, and it makes standing with it for long periods tolerable. I have an SX jazz bass that sounds and looks great, but weighs over 10 lbs and after 2 songs I need to sit down.

My Roadworn Jazz and MIJ Jazz Fretless are both at around 8lbs or less.
I think my '67 EB-0 is even lighter.

My Road Worn P is 7.6 lbs. Shop the guitar gallery feature at Sweetwater, they usually give the instrument's weight.

I have a LightWave Saber VL-4 that weighs 7lbs. Awesome bass in every way.

There's a chance my scale may be off, but it weighs my Fender American Special P bass in at just under 7lbs.

I've had a few Sadowskys under 8lbs. My '61 P Bass is right at 8 lbs also.

I have a Dingwall SuperP 5 that is right at 8 lbs. The Afterburner 1's and ABZ's are also often light.

According to my digital bathroom scale, my SR505 is 7.5 pounds. Don't know how accurate that is but it feels very light.

Fender Precision Lyte Deluxe MIJ 1997-98. Have not taken vital signs but feels like 7 pounds and change...light as can be for a solidbody. Nice jazz-sized neck too. My bass of choice for church gigs.

I have two at that weight:
    Hoyt chambered mahogany fretless:

    Roscoe LG (smaller body):

Both are right at 8 lbs or less...

...I'm sure it's the absence of 'fret lines'...

I have 2 Ibanez EDA905s (the ones with the plastic bodies) that weigh exactly 8 pounds. They balance perfectly on a strap, thanks to the long upper horns. I also have a couple of Dean Edge 5s that are just a bit over 8 pounds.

Depending on the configuration, Status Graphite Stealths come in at 7 to 7.5lbs, and their bodyless Streamline is more like 6.

I have a Carvin AC50 that is 6 pounds 7 Oz. It's killer. It has a sort of acoustic tone though, but is very light weight and has none of the usual AGB nasty feedback. It's clearly a "plugged-in only" bass.
