Basses and extreme temperature changes

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by crazyphil, May 5, 2003.

  1. Ok, so I'm now living in the Cayman Islands and my bass should be on its way here shortly via Fedex. Here is my concern...

The temperature in my apartment changes from one extreme to the other on a daily basis. Air conditioning is turned off during the day to lower the electricity bill and then turned on when I get home. Essentially, the temperature drops from 95 to 70 degress in about 20 minutes and then back to 95 then next day and so on and so on.... How is this going to affect my bass? It's a MIA Fender J Deluxe. I'm concerned about the neck warping.
  2. Keep it in the closet, in a hard case when your
    not playing it.
  3. Get a Modulus or a Zon.:D
