What basses would you look for, doesn't need to be 5-string but hopefully. Any suggestions, i'm thinking of spector, musicman, pedulla etc. I want something tight and punchy.

Out of those choices....Spector. Spector makes a good bass.

But mostly because I doubt you will find a MM or Pedulla worth buying for under $800. You never know with eBay though.

I find Musicman basses to be rather tight and punchy.

How much do you want to spend?

Is it $500-$800 in total? Are you bearing in mind shipping, import duty and value added tax will add perhaps an extra $200 to $400?

I'm thinking of 500-800$ excluded shipping and duties.
I could spend more than 800$ if very necressery but would like not to spend more than 800 if i would be rip-offed.
This will be my first ebay buy so i might get problem with 0% feedback?

    Probably.

You might find people unwilling to deal internationally with someone with no feedback.

It's a knob that's gone. They're very easily replaceable so it should be no skin off your huevos.

I'm swedish, the basses i maybe would be able to try is a stringray(i would prefer a sterling) and maybe a Spector Euro(dont think so, i think they would order one for me).

Anyway, what's different between a Euro and a NS?
They look the same, cost the same.
