Basses in Los Angeles, California?

Start with Craig's List online, The Recycler newspaper, and call the Bass Exchange on Ventura Blvd.

www.criagslist.com is a good place to start if it's something you feel you need to pick up in person. I've purchased almost all of my instruments through eBay, and have had no problems with any of them. Shop wisely.

Damn, sweet bass. If I were OP I'd buy a SR506 at GC for 600 bucks and trade for that bass, STAT.




Or the deal above me is pretty sweet too. I sold one of those basses (different finish) for 500 bucks without case.

 

LA is arguably the biggest market for used gear that there is. Take your time and score yourself something awesome!

 

Of all the cities in the country where one might find a used bass, LA probably gives you the largest selection...better than, say Ottumwa, Iowa (hometown of "Radar" O'Reilly!)

Just think of all the musicians who came to the bright lights and big city to seek fame and fortune...as the said in "Do You Know the way to San Jose":
In a week - or maybe two - they'll make you a star
Weeks turn into years and quickly pass
And all the stars there never were are parkin' cars and pumpin' gas (AND selling their bass guitars!)
