Basses With Interesting Decorations?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by CauliColin, May 23, 2011.

  1. Have you got a bass with an interesting decoration on it? A stencilled picture of John Prescott on the body? A hanging dummy from the headstock? Do tell!

Waxed dark woods on the front, so no room for drawings.
I'm fine with them on the back. I can see them all I want and they're not obnoxious enough to make it a cliché instrument.

That is pretty hot from the front too... I like the stealth mode. A+ on that bass!

I've posted these photos on TB some where before but I guess it's time to resurrect them for this thread.

I loved the game Space Invaders when I was a kid.

  17. Interesting decorations you say?
My art buddy did this one 2 or 3 years ago for free because he wanted to see if he could paint a guitar.

It started off as a cheap Jay Turser bass...and it's currently getting fixed so I can play it again.

JazzADD - the zipper is AWESOME. how'd you do that? it is really pretty from the front too!

CodyMD - really dig the Space Invaders too. have you seen the couch straps that are mostly white then start at the bottom solid and fade to a Space Invader patter up the strap? pretty fantastic. they come in black and blue, and i'm a huge nerd so i ordered a pair a little while ago. ANXIOUSLY awaiting them.

    neat basses!
