I'm ASSUMING that it's Nathan East, only because that's who Clapton's had for as long as I can remember. If it is, you're in for a real treat.

Clapton has certainly played with some great bassists over the years:

    Tom McGuinness/The Roosters (Jan-Aug 1963)
Dave McCumisky/Casey Jones and The Engineers (Sept 1963)
    Paul Samwell Smith/The Yardbirds (Oct 1963-March 1965)
    John McVie/John Mayall's Bluesbreakers (Apr-Aug 1965, Nov 1965-July 1966)
    Jack Bruce/Cream (July 1966-Nov 1968)
    Rick Grech/Blind Faith (Feb 1969-Jan 1970)
    Klaus Voorman/Plastic Ono Band (13th Sept 1969)
    Carl Radle/Delaney & Bonnie (Jan-Mar 1970)
    Carl Radle/Derek & The Dominoes (May 1970-Apr 1971)
Carl Radle/Eric Clapton and his Band (Apr 1974-June 1979)
    Dave Markee (Sept 1979-Oct 1982)
Donald "Duck" Dunn (Oct 1982-Oct 1985)
    Nathan East (April 1986-1993)
    Richard Cousins (1990)
    Joey Spampinato (1991)
    Dave Bronze (1994-Oct 1997)
    Marcus Miller (Summer 1997)
    Nathan East (March 1998-Present)
