Watching Kennedy center honors. Who is the bassist with the hat and beard. Seen him before but can't place him.

I did not see it. Could it have been Don Was? He gets a lot of these types of gigs.

It is Zev Katz. He also had a stint on Live from Daryl's House. Shawn Colvin.

Is Zev Katz the bassist with the band that did "The Beatles: The Night That Changed America" a Grammy salute to the 50th anniv. of The Beatles debut on The Ed Sullivan Show? It aired almost a year ago, and I've never been able to pin down that guy's name.
Missed it? Go and find Gary Clark, Jr. and Joe Walsh doing "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"...WELL worth the search!
