bassist on "groove me" by king floyd?

    anybody out there have a clue who the bassist was on this classic soul tune?.the groove and p-bass tone on this song just knock me out...outstanding work, any ideas?

    Gallien Krueger for the last 12 years!
    His name is Vernie Robbins. He's also the bassist on "Mr. Big Stuff". He passed on about 5 or 6 years ago from cancer. Bro, had a deep pocket! Those songs are the epitome of groove!

    thank you woodchuck..mystery solved. your correct about pocket and groove on those respective tunes.its the space and what he doesnt play in that song that knocks me out. if only thousands of guitar center wankers could hear that groove and play with as much taste and tone the world would be a better place ;)
