Haha just saw that too. That is totally what bassists do ...just clunk around and whatever.

I thought the funniest part was all these failed rock-stars mention their bands like anybody would care.... just like real life.

Sincerely, I think it comes from having to anchor the band. Don't get me wrong, I think the video is funny, but I'd pick John Entwistle over Mark Hoppus any day.

  9. Ok now what did he do right?

Moved singer with body of his bass.

Took over stage and audience area.

    Kicked shoe off.

    Changed instruments.

    Played instrument in pool.

This isn't a bassist it is the drummer but I thought it funny.

Ha ha great video and yes I have to agree as well it is sad but true. Not that I constantly hop around stage or anything, however it is often too common to see most (not all of course) bassist just stand there. And if they are standing in the back then it really sucks. Good humor from Mark as always and some pretty good advice as well.

I can't see the video, maybe 'cos I'm not in the US? any links to it on youtube or similar?

(the Larry and His Flask video is great!!!)
  20. I once saw a bassist for a hard-rock band play the entire show standing motionless, facing his amps, with his back to the audience.
