i can only think of Les Claypool
You took my two, Les and Vic
Billy Sheehan - had one on a bass he didn't play a lot.
Kinley Wolfe formerly with Lord Tracy
Allan Dias, from Public Image, Ltd. back in the late '80s
Jon Sauter-(played bass with Ted Nugent) was the first guy I saw with one. He had a modified strat whammy (with screen-door spings) on his Tele-basses. This was in the early or mid 70's.
where or who is making bridges with whammy bars? id throw one ! actually i want one!
badass have one?
badass + whammy = Ass Whammy!
I believe Tim Cummerford at one time used a whammy bar on his bass.
both vic and les use kahler tremelo's
Stanley Clarke used a Bigsby on his brown bass on this album
wow.... those kahlers arent cheap !
my brother on his frankenbass, it isn't pretty, but it kicks ass. i'll have to find a picture of it. he took a chisel and routed out the space for it.
Try Wammiworld, very cheap there compared to Kahler themselves that is, I gt two off them!
I have a bass with one but I don't use it much anymore. The bass it's on is pretty heavy. One very useful thing I've found for it is to do psuedo-fretless. I got the idea to do that from a guitarist who used a whammy bar to simulate slide guitar. It wouldn't fool Steve Bailey but it works.
and quite a few people here on TB as well
John Lennon on "Let It Be". You have to play it backwards to hear the dive bombing stuff.
