    Is it loud enough to keep up with a standard banjo?

  5. That is so awesome. I've been GASsing for a reso-bass, but I hadn't even thought of a bassjo. How's the acoustic volume?

    This is a cool project as he used a drum and a normal neck and all, but the idea has been done many times before.

    The Gold Tone uses a magnetic pickup that you can slide anywhere you like under the head and no piezo.

    There is a web site that has recordings of the bass plugged and unplugged, but I forget the site.
