Basslab owners: how does the fingerboard hold up?

If anyone out there owns a Basslab bass, particularly a fretless, I'm wondering how well the painted fingerboard surface withstands heavy playing -- does the paint wear off easily, and if or when it does, how well does the underlying material wear?

    Thanks for any replies.

Heiko is on his way to Musikmesse, so he asked me to reply for him.

The finish on BassLab instruments is tough automotive lacquer, with several clear coats topping it off. The fretboard on fretless instruments is finished with an even harder lacquer formula, which is more durable than wood. Heiko just had a customer visit his Lab and after 5 years of use there was no real wear, just a dulling of the gloss clearcoat from the friction of the string windings.
