Hey, I started doing bassline brakedown videos on YouTube hoping to inspire young musicians to brake away from only doubling guitar riffs and play melodic or otherwise interesting bass lines. I’d appreciate feedback, suggestions and of course, subscribtions. It’s free. Thanks. Bass line Brakedown - YouTube
Thanks. Do you mean Brake down by Tom Petty? Who plays brake away? As for the Petty tune, I think the bass there is fairly generic (not to take away from the song which is understandably great).
He's talking about how you spell the word. It's either "brake" like brakes on a car, or "break" where you take something apart, which is the meaning you are going for. You're spelling your lessons wrong.
And 100% undermining his own credibility in the process. I'm kind of wishing nobody had told him for a few months.
Got it. English is my second language, thanks for the heads up. As for credibility, I don’t worry too much, music is music no matter how it’s spelled.
Very true! But misspellings can lead to less search results, leading to less traffic, resulting in fewer future musicians from a generation of auto correct.
No need to be hard on people all the time... You seem to get a lot from satisfaction from it. A little compassion will make you a better human, if you have any interest in that.
No problem. English can be very confusing. I've been doing it all my life and it still gets me. At least you know a couple of languages unlike most people here.
