    Can anyone help?
I have come across a Seymour Duncan Basslines SMB-4 pup which i want to put into my Musicman Sterling. The Seymour duncan website only gives wiring details for the Stingray which differs from the Stering because of the 3 way selector switch.
The Sterling has the ability to switch between parallel, series & single coil.
Can I use this pickup and if so does anyone have wiring details or know where I can obtain them.
Oh by the way I intend to change the pup only NOT the electronics
    Cheers all.

you can use the pup, you won't have humcanceling like the Sterling when you split the coils. Bart and Nordstrand make triple coil Sterling replacements.

Don't know what the guts of the Sterling are like but the Ducan is 4 lead so you run the hots paired negatives paired for parallel and one coil negative to the other coil hot for series - same as any pup.
