Basslines quarter pounders for jazz bass

  1. Hello, this is my first thread in talk bass and I'm really looking forward to posting more...
anyway, let's talk shop; I just bought a pair of seymour duncan basslines Sjb-3 quarter pound pickups for my jazz bass. And like some uf us, I could not test the pickups, well, sort of, I just tested the P-bass version of them, and it sounds very nice, the sound is huge. So I know that theres a difference between the jazz bass and the precision sound. Does anyone have expirience with this pickups? What's your opinion on them, will they be good on slapping? (there were good on the precision), are there versatile enough for different tastes of music?
I currently play from ska-punk, hard rock, jazz and funk with slapping and popping....Is ths a good pickup?:bassist:
  2. mmm I guess nobody has these pickups...mmmm :(
    What a warm welcome....:meh:

Check out my post in your thread in "basses". The QPs are nice, but I think the MIM J PUs are fine to begin with.
  4. Hey philbiker? are you really a biker??
If yes what scene? Bmx, MTB, road??
I'm a biker myself! I race downhill. Anyway, just wondering :D
