basslines & stacked humbuckers

    I'm really thinking about replacing the existing pickups in my alvarez with something like maybe some seymor duncan basslines pickups but I got a few questions. My bass has the p-j configuration and I was wondering which pickups out of all the basslines would sound best? I want a punchier sound with a little more mid range clarity kinda like what I'd get from having a humbucker in the bridge position. But since my bass has a p-j configuration I was looking into stacked humbuckers. I'm not exactly the smartest person in the world when it comes to pickups so if someone could explain to me exactly what a stacked humbucker is and how it sounds compared to a normal humbucker or j-bass bridge pickup.
