Let your ears make the choice for you.Im not trying to sound harsh, but what sounds good to me may not sound good to you.

FWIW I preferred the Bassman to the Ampeg, the Fender seemed to have a much warmer sound.

The jack on the back for the PA is called the direct out,and I know the Fender has it,not sure about the Ampeg, though.

    Good luck:)

I prefer the tone of the Fender more, but the Ampeg is louder.

  4. Both good amps. My BA-115 has never let me down. The BA-115 has an XLR out for PA.

IMHO-Cake walk.Ampeg all the way! With the style switch on 1 or 2.Its much warmer and better sounding than the Fender. Also more versatile.I know some folks prefer the Fender but ive tried several of the new Bassmans including the 25,60,100.I really didnt care for any of them though they are a vast improvement over the older line they replaced.Good luck!
