    Purchased this bass from bassguyry a few weeks ago. I'm not exactlly a 6 player, but this thing put me in a trance. It's more beautiful in person. The pre/pickup combo had my attention as well - and it delivers without a doubt. My hands are just not suited for a 6 string, so as much as I love the looks and tone - I just can't justify keeping it. I'd like to get $975 shipped - which is what I have in the bass. Specs from previous listing below as well as the previous sale link complete with Mr. Rylands video of the bass.

    I'll have to guess on the body wood - but a good guess would be alder. It wasn't disclosed, nor a concern of mine during the sale, but due to the weight being 10.5 lbs, it's definitely not ash.
