Purchased this bass from bassguyry a few weeks ago. I'm not exactlly a 6 player, but this thing put me in a trance. It's more beautiful in person. The pre/pickup combo had my attention as well - and it delivers without a doubt. My hands are just not suited for a 6 string, so as much as I love the looks and tone - I just can't justify keeping it. I'd like to get $975 shipped - which is what I have in the bass. Specs from previous listing below as well as the previous sale link complete with Mr. Rylands video of the bass. SOLD - BassMods K634 - Price Drop! - 34" Scale - Pickups: Aguilar 6J-HC humcancelling - Preamp: John East J-Retro Deluxe (the original BassMods 3-band preamp is included) - Pickguard: Custom-made tortoise shell made by Pickguardian (the original white pearloid pickguard is also included). - 19mm spacing - Gater Hardshell Case (not new but good condition.)
I'll have to guess on the body wood - but a good guess would be alder. It wasn't disclosed, nor a concern of mine during the sale, but due to the weight being 10.5 lbs, it's definitely not ash.
