BassQuake 2003!!!

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by Dave Grossman, Sep 28, 2003.

  1. Hey,

I went to BassQuake 2003 yesterday. I'm not sure what the others were like so I can't compare but it was really great. The performances and workshops were great. For info about who was there and who sponsored the event, check out http://www.bassquake.org/

Here are some of the pictures I shot that day. I think I photographed every performer and sponsor (those represented by booths, at least).

The white bass is a custom Conklin Sidewinder 7-string. The guy is Bill Dickens. Both are beasts.

FYI- the fingerboard is painted white (as opposed to being made of very pale wood).

I paid for all my gear myself. Well, me and MasterCard.
I wish I'd been there, but I was out of cash having just bought another bass... sorry I missed it. :(

I probably would have been able to make it if my car's radiator hadn't died 90 miles south of Humboldt on my way home for the weekend Thursday night. It looks like it would have been awesome being around so many people that are infinitely better than I am.

GAAAHHHH!!!! I hate that stupid piece of plastic!!!
