Hi, i need a little battery amplifier for my road gigs. I know that a acustic bass is not loud like an acustic guitar, and that's why I'm loocking for a self alimentation amplifier. I know there is a kind of guitar amplifier called "freedom", I don't know exactly who produce this amp... you know something like this way for bass or acustic bass?
    Thak you,

There are a few battery powered amps for bass: Pignose Hog 30, Crate Taxi TX50B.

They are low powered (15-50 watts) with tiny 8" speakers so basically they sound like crap

The problem is you need decent wattage to amplify bass but to get more wattage you need more batteries making it relatively impractical.

The 50 watt Crate into an extension cabinet might actually be useful...but a lot of gear to lug around!!! At that point you might as well play a string bass.

    Good luck!
