    Hello all,

I'm somewhat in the middle of my very first bass project and I've just decided to go *active* with a passive bypass. Anyway, my electronics compartment has absolutely no room for a battery, so I'm thinking of routing an area and installing a battery-box.

So, here's the question. I would like to place it in an area about 1/4" away from the neck PUP. Does anybody see any problems with having the battery-box so close to the pickup??

    Thanks in advance!

    Paul

I suppose it would depend on what kind of pickup you are planning to use...but my guess is that you'd be perfectly safe if you used a humbucker design.

Thanks LB! And it is a humbucker.

My bass also has humbuckers and is active, and i have had no problems with it, not even a little buzz or hum.
