1996 BC Rich Innovator. Bernie Sr. era. 34" scale, 5 pc Maple neckthru with Rosewood stringers. Body wings are walnut core with maple back and flame maple top. Ebony fretboard (nice thick slab) with abalone inlays. Full active Duncan Basslines rig - ASB-5 pickups with STC-3 preamp. This is the 3-band version with cut and boost for all 3 bands, plus "slap" contour switch on a push/pull pot. The contour preset is fully adjustable with 2 trimpots on the preamp circuit board. This is a great player, nut width is 1 5/8" with 18mm string spacing. The tone is total funk/fusion/new wave. Tons of top end zing and high mid presence. Definitely not my tone - this bass needs to be in the hands of a light touch funk/fusion player. Includes coffin case. $1300 shipped to the ConUS. More pics tomorrow.
Weekend bump. This is a killer bass, better than any US production bass I've owned (like Ric or US Fender). Even a US Spector can't touch it. The only thing I've actually had my hands on that comes close is a Dingwall. Trade interests include: US neckthru BCRs Fender Precision American Vintage 62 RI Ric 4004L
Thanks man. I'm sure the BO version sounds completely different... different woods and pups. The Steve Bailey pups are very fretless/fusion-ey. I wouldn't mind trying a BO Inno but I think I'd prefer a neckthru ST bass.
I used to own this same bass in a five string! nothing gets down n' dirty like an innovator! Free bump for a rarity!
