Anyone have any experience with the MTD Beast? It looks like a production bass, which is a departure from the custom mades.

Is it maybe made by Grendel?

    Scale length? Zero fret?

I can't find the data anywhere on the web. Is this a relatively new model?

  2. Played a 4-string Beast on my lunch break today. Pretty damn impressive. It's a passive bass but it sounded active to me.. real cutting tone, nice low action, great playability. It was only $750 too.

Thanks Dave. I change my mind about every 2 days on which bass I should get next. The Beast is in the running but now I'm thinking about one of the top of the line Dean basses, which is probably made at the same factory as the Beast.

Maybe I should concentrate on improving my skills rather than collecting basses............naaaaa
