    This is a Jim Triggs built five string, not really a bass that you'd see MacCartney tote on stage is it?

    Another one but fretless (with lines) and in sunburst.

    Both of these basses belonged to Nashville session player Larry Paxton

    Thats really cool , do you have a link to the builder of those. The headstock resembles a d'quisto.

    PS that looks like solid wood as opposed to hollow body like the hofner.

    I've always thought Beatle basses had lots of potential that wasn't being realized by Hofner.

  6. Just today, an auction on ebay ended for a solid body blank in that shape.

  7. Actully, it's more of a gibson EB-1 copy. The shape isnt much like a Hofner.
