So what's your favorite cover of a Beatle song?
I'll start with Scott Sawyer doing Tax Man.
Got To Get You Into My Life-Earth, Wind & Fire
I'm gonna have to go with.....none. I'm kind of a Beatles purist when it comes to this stuff. I enjoy some covers and then some just never come close to the originals. For me, the Beatles covers usually fall into the last category.
Jeff Beck doing She's a Woman
Yes - Every Little Thing
Joe Cocker, With a Little Help From My Friends.
Alison Krauss - I Will
What an angelic voice and simple arrangement...and I'm not a big Bluegrass aficionado
I Will YouTube
A very different version of Dr. Robert from the Raisins, 1980.
Obviously Yer Blues by The Dirty Mac
It would be this:
Dionne Warwick's A Hard Day's Night, I kid you not!
Joe Cocker yes. And also Richie Havens
This is my band's cover of Come Together. Its a short vid because its only the saxophone solo...yea a saxophone
The only thing I can say about Stanley Jordan is: "These guys are great!"
+1 on the Angelical voice of Alison Krauss. I bought her live double disc about 10 yrs ago. And man, it is so pure. She could compete with Adele in vocal content and soul, but Alison is a better musician.
Best covers of Beatles are Motley Crue's Helter Skelter and Aerosmith's Come Together. I actually heard the Crue version b4 the Beatle version, because they were really big when I was in elementary/middle school.
Overwhelming Colorfast "She Said She Said"
