  1. hello,

any bass players out there who love to play and listen to Bebop/Jazz/Fusion???

I really enjoy this type of music. It, in my opinion, is the highest form of musical expression and skill. Mainly because most of it is straight technical improvisation and vast knowledge of theory.

I enjoy playing this a lot, i'm no Jeff Andrews or John Patitucci, but I get by pretty well.

Yup. Of all genres, bop requires the greatest knowledge of theory. It never ceases to amaze me that people can improvise at light speed over complex changes. The horn players are the most impressive; they play transposing instruments with no visual aids.

Needless to say, I suck at bop.
